Leaving my blog fairly unattended. I'll be going around checking everybody's pages today that commented on my post.
So, in the late hours of the night I was struck with an awful awful idea, and decided to go through with it. You see, I am straight edge, or the modern interpretation of it. I do not drink, smoke, or do other kinds of drugs. Partially because of my addictive personality and lack of control. But this isn't about why I am straight edge, just a bit of background history. So as some of my followers know I recently had my 18th birthday, which also happens to mark 18 years of being straight edge. So last night I ended up converting an electrical toothbrush, into a tattoo gun. And, cutting to the end, I now have the straight edge X permanently tattooed to my foot. haha. I figured even if sometime down the road I quit being edge, I can look back with pride at the 18 years I was clean for.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-4521549211598186902010-10-05T21:07:00.000-06:002010-10-05T21:07:10.027-06:00Quick Segue; Animal TestingStill working on the blogbrowser obviously, but I have an assignment due in my english 100 class thursday that I have yet to start on. I am to do an essay comparing two essays, J B S Haldane's, Some Enemies of Science, and David Suzuki's, The Pain of Animals. Which are essentially just arguments over animal testing. Personally I feel that the answer is somewhere in the gray area in between the two extremes, but I just can't seem to start writing this essay. I was wondering if any of my faithful posters had any opinions to help give me a kick start to the essay, or just wanted to bash either side of the whole thing. So if you are up to it, let me know what you think!Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-89539430178243583242010-10-05T05:17:00.000-06:002010-10-05T05:17:47.068-06:00Update 4.Looks like hidden blogger was right, I think TOR is going to have to be the way to go on this one. I have searched quite a bit and the only thing I can find is local ip changing code, which is pretty much useless for me. I don't believe I will be able to incorporate TOR into blogbrowser but that does not stop one from running it in the background anyway. Other work will continue shortly, but as things stand I will not have an anonymous function to my browser. If anyone with programming experience has anything to say about this just comment or message me. I'm working in Visual Basic.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-748824874839005872010-10-03T00:50:00.000-06:002010-10-03T00:50:59.212-06:00Update 3.No real changes at this point, I've just been doing some research into the changing of ip's for a more anonymous browsing experience. Out of the three programming languages I know, Visual Basic is the one I know the least, so programming is taking a while. Any of the people that commented saying they were also programmers are welcome to join me on this project, just message me.

So because I had no visual update, I leave you with this.
I was pretty busy yesterday because I had my 18th birthday. I have had my laptop fixed thought so I can once again run internet on it, this should speed up the programming of the blogbrowser. Thanks every body for keeping tabs on the update, once I know whether or not it will actually all work, I'll have some special offers put out. I'll get back to programming when I get back from school today.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-41157036957675253362010-09-27T21:47:00.000-06:002010-09-27T21:47:46.292-06:00A Program: Update 2.

A: Web Page
Now so far its just a basic layout with nothing special. The current tools are forward, back, and the only thing that is special from a browser so far, the refresh multiplier. You enter a number to the right of refresh and it refreshes the page that many times. More stuff is coming but I just didn't want to leave you guys hanging. If you have any requests for the browser just comment and I'll see what I can do.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-40285605604686460282010-09-27T12:03:00.000-06:002010-09-27T12:03:27.201-06:00A Program: Update 1.I was hoping to have a couple screen shots ready to go before I did another post. But unfortunately I've run in to a bit of a problem. The internet on my laptop has died. No matter where I am it refuses to pick up signals. This makes the programming for me quite difficult as I am not an expert at visual basic. I have extensive practice with similar languages, but I need to use VB, and I need to look up a lot of syntax things to make sure I'm doing every thing right. I'm going to have to use my family computer which is much tougher as it is shared among the five of us. It will take longer than I hoped, but I should have some screen shots up tomorrow. Thanks for following.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-87696816670225968592010-09-26T03:11:00.000-06:002010-09-26T03:11:48.986-06:00A ProgramNow I know i said I was working on a Death Penalty opinion post, but something has come up. With all the pages I'm so interested in it is becoming tough to check them all the time. We have an awesome community and I want to thank every one who is commenting on my page by commenting on theirs too. Because I'm a bit of a nerd I am working on a Visual Basic program that makes it easier to access them all the time, so I don't have to keep coming back to my dashboard or page. If it works I will publish it on my page for every one to share :]Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-89130475042102029392010-09-24T11:32:00.000-06:002010-09-24T11:32:27.658-06:00Same Sex Marriage. This is probably one of the touchiest subjects I can talk about. But I am against same sex marriage. Lets explore this though, because my opinion is not nearly as bad as it sounds. I believe that marriage is defined as the joining for life of a man and a woman, and I believe thats what it has meant for thousands of years. This is more or less the bibles definition of marriage, and it was just over the past hundred years or so that people began denouncing Christianity and being married through the courts. The definition of marriage has been the biblical one for thousands of years and it is only in the past 30 years that people have been wishing to change it. I'm not saying that the bible is right, I'm just saying thats the definition we have been using for a long long time. I have no problem with a homo-sexual orientation. I have a couple homo-sexual friends, and one very good one. And I believe that they should receive the same rights as us, and one of those is to get married. Feel free to go out and get married as we have it defined. You are more than welcome to find a person of the opposite sex and spend the rest of your life with them. And if they don't want to get married then that is their own fault. I do not believe that we should change the definition of marriage, but I do believe that a new title should be made for them giving them the exact same legal status as marriage. And in that way they may have the same benefits as a married couple without having to change the traditional definition of marriage.

This is a controversial one, and I would love to hear what you guys have to say about it. Don't worry about hurting my feelings, just bash away. If you think that you can change my mind I would love to hear from you.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com31tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-79968904674440316512010-09-23T17:23:00.000-06:002010-09-23T17:23:40.752-06:00Musical PreferencesI'm going to take a short break from my usual material to deliver a quick lesson on musical preferences. Music is important to nearly everyone. Whether its Justin Bieber or the bag pipes, I have never met someone who outright claims that all music is awful and they wish to live the remainder of their lives without hearing another piece of it again. Music plays a massive roll in my life, and it has shaped my character and provided me with many of my ideals. I listen to hardcore music, and I'm proud of it. Many times I've heard people ask if that means I listen to Metallica, or Atreyu. Lets get this clear to start off, by hardcore I'm talking about bands like Terror, Bracewar, Have Heart, and Madball. I understand that based on my life experiences Hardcore music appeals to me. And because we have all lived different lives I can not expect every one to like it. Over the past 6 or so years that I have been involved with this genre I have been ridiculed and put down for my tastes with people always trying to push their music on me. People that listen to more common genres seem to be unable to understand that not everyone sees the same thing in certain songs as they do. I've heard the phrase "Your music sucks" about a million times. That is entirely uncalled for. Just because you are unable to appreciate something does not mean that it sucks. There is something in every genre. Even if you say you are into Kanye West, I can fairly say that I can appreciate him. The person that managed to market him to billions of people must have been a genius. If you don't understand a genre, listen for something they do that you may not even like, that is just generally impressive. Instead of telling me my music sucks, try thinking about it for a second. No matter what genre you listen to I can say "You know what, I don't like this genre it at all, but I can appreciate what goes into the making of this style and can understand where you are coming from."

On a side note I'm really not pleased with this post, I feel that it didn't really go anywhere. But whats been typed has been typed, and hopefully I can get another good discussion on this one.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-59343913092917965802010-09-21T23:21:00.000-06:002010-09-21T23:21:55.043-06:00Racial ProfilingI strongly believe in racial profiling. It is defined as the special treatment of of a race or culture based on stereotypes associated with it. Airport security is a fantastic example of where I think it should be considered standard protocol. A 65 year old Swiss grandmother is much less likely to hijack a plane than a young man of Muslim decent. Statistically speaking it just does not make sense to check each person with the same thoroughness. In an ideal world all people taking flights should be searched equally and as thoroughly as possible, but at this time many airports do not have the ability or resources to do this. If I were to be pulled out of the line for a more thorough examination I would be comforted to know that the airport security is doing its job. I have a mesomorphic build with shaved blond hair and blue eyes, which are traits commonly associated with that of the skin-head or neo-nazi movements. For all they know I could be on my way to ramming a plane into the worlds largest synagogue conveniently placed in New York city. It is ridiculous to ignore the previous facts on groups with a history of terrorist attacks and demand they all be treated equally in such a high risk setting. It is unfortunate that certain members of groups do this to other innocent of cultures and societies, but to ignore statistics and probabilities would be idiotic. Obviously racial profiling is not the answer to stopping terrorist attacks, but until we can place the same time of security as El-Al in every airport it may just have to do. That or America could change some of its foreign policies and behaviours to convince people that its not worth bombing anyway. But I'll save that for another post.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com26tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-50419982046147603482010-09-20T16:19:00.000-06:002010-09-20T16:19:50.709-06:00RightsLets talk equal rights for women. I don't believe women would be entirely all that happy if they were to have the same rights as a man. For example, if my girlfriend were to go into school with a black eye and say, "Yeah I screwed up and my boyfriend punched me in the face." I would become a social exile. I would lose most of my friends and all my credibility and respect. Now, on the other hand if I went to school with a black eye and said, "Yeah I screwed up and my boyfriend punched me in the face." I would be laughed at. There would be zero social consequences to punching me in the face for her. But why is this so? Because men and women have different strengths. Men are generally much stronger than women and thats why its taken so much more seriously. Its the same thing as if this altercation were to happen between myself at age eighteen and some ten year old kid. But if men and women generally have different strengths and abilities, why should they be given the same rights? I am all for women being allowed to do what they are able to, But if they can not do something as effectively as a man they should step down and not pull the equal rights card on us. But the same goes for a man.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-432595670772356283.post-10102036076331226712010-09-19T23:46:00.000-06:002010-09-19T23:46:04.142-06:00First PostAlright, first post. Now making this post was much more difficult than it should have been. While thinking of stupid little things to post; I realized that in fact I cannot yet post any stupid little things. My blog character has yet to evolve. The first post is the introduction to the types of things you could expect from me over these next couple months or years depending on how long it takes for me to forget my password. Now my thought process got this far, and then I realized that I actually have no idea what kinds of things I will be posting. Therefore in conclusion; Fuck it. First post.Sadistichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15310176294106833465noreply@blogger.com3
